Terms and Studio Policies

The Nature of the Work

All artworks are original, contemporary mixed-media pieces created in the Studio’s established style. Each commission is approached as an individual artwork. While floral material may hold personal significance, the final composition is guided by artistic judgement, balance and material response. The Studio does not create literal replicas of bouquets or arrangements.

Commission Process

Commissions are confirmed upon receipt of a 50% non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to delivery or collection. Work will not commence until the deposit has been received. Due to the time-intensive nature of the process, a limited number of commissions are accepted each month.

Personal Floral Commissions

For works incorporating client-provided flowers:

  • Flowers should arrive within 3–5 days of the event unless otherwise agreed.

  • Final results depend on flower condition, freshness and variety.

  • Natural colour shifts, translucency, shrinkage or fragmentation may occur during preservation.

  • Exact colour retention or structural perfection cannot be guaranteed.

  • The Studio is not responsible for damage caused during transit.

Botanical Commissions

For works created using Studio-sourced florals:

  • Flowers are seasonally sourced and selected for tone, structure and movement.

  • Specific varieties may vary according to availability.

  • Substitutions may be made where necessary while maintaining the agreed palette and aesthetic direction.

Timelines

Estimated completion times:

  • Personal Florals: approximately 8–12 weeks from receipt

  • Botanical: approximately 6–10 weeks

These timeframes are approximate and may vary depending on drying processes, seasonal workload or unforeseen delays.

Artistic Control

The Studio retains full creative control over composition, palette refinement, material selection and finishing. No revisions are included once the artwork is underway, unless agreed in writing prior to commencement.

Cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable, as they secure studio time and materials. If a commission is cancelled after work has begun, the Studio reserves the right to retain additional payment proportionate to work completed. In the unlikely event that the Studio must cancel, all payments received will be refunded in full.

Delivery & Risk

Shipping costs are charged separately unless stated otherwise. The Studio is not responsible for delays or damage caused by third-party couriers. Risk transfers to the client upon dispatch.

Copyright

All artworks remain the intellectual property of the Artist. The Studio reserves the right to photograph and share completed works for portfolio and promotional purposes unless confidentiality is requested in writing prior to completion. Artworks may not be reproduced commercially without written permission.

Acceptance

By paying a deposit, the client confirms acceptance of these terms.
